Ryan Fitzpatrick will be returning for another season. The veteran quarterback signed a two-year contract worth 10 million dollars with the Washington Football Team late Monday night.
Fitzpatrick was productive in a season and a half worth of starts for the Dolphins. He was subsequently benched for rookie Tua Tagovailoa midway through last season, but will now have the chance to be the starter again in Washington.
He will be competing with playoff hero Taylor Heinicke in camp. There is also a chance that Washington drafts a quarterback with their first-round pick, but they would probably have to move up to do so.
Fans will love watching Fitzmagic play another year. His veteran savvy, an ultra-talented defensive, Terry McClaurin, and Antonio Gibson may be able to push a Washington team past the first round of the playoffs in the NFC.
