Baseball fans rejoice! The Midsummer Classic has finally arrived and you know what that means?!? We are betting on all our favorite star players in one classic game.
Below the ReRack Picks boys preview the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby while also offering some advice and their very own picks.
Operation Bankrupt Vegas begins now…
2022 MLB All-Star Game
American League (-105) @ National League (-115)
Location: Los Angeles, California | Dodger Stadium
The Staff’s Picks
- Emperor’s Picks:
National League ML (-111) 2u
The National League is on an 8-game losing streak. Tonight that streak breaks. Kershaw is starting at his home stadium, and the lineup for the NL tonight is scarier. NL by a million.
Juan Soto MVP (+4000) .5u
After last night’s fireworks, and somehow edging out JROD in the Home Run Derby, of course, I’m riding on the Childish Bambino to stay hot. Soto is not starting in tonight’s Midsummer Classic, but expect him to come in within the first half of the ball game to acquire some at-bats. With all that being said, any All-Star Game MVP bet is a shot in the dark. Just look for value.
Joc Pederson MVP (+4000) .5u
Joc started his career here and he knows how to put on a show. Heading into the break, YungJoc is on a major slump. The man needs to return to his roots, which he is tonight, and just let the bat fly. As I said above, these All-Star MVP bets are shots in the dark, but tonight I got a good feeling about Joc.
- Santi’s Picks:
No Run First Inning (NRFI) (-148) 1.25u
The starting pitchers tonight are Kershaw/McClanahan. If you’re betting on an NRFI at any point and even one of these guys are on the mound, you already have an advantage – let alone both of them.
First 5 Innings u3.5 Runs (+100) 1u
We’re taking the first half under mainly because we aren’t too sure about who comes in during the later innings of the game. We know the starting pitcher talent already, and we know we have guys like Alcantara/Muskgrove coming in to keep the score low after.
Giancarlo Stanton o0.5 HR (+520) .5u
This bet is basically just to add some more fun to the night. In these types of games, we can expect Stanton to be swinging for the fences and it appears the wind could potentially help him. We’re getting 9mph winds right to Stanton’s home run sweet spot. For +520 odds, this is worth a small sprinkle.
- Ric’s Picks:
No Run First Inning (NRFI) (-148) 1u
Two of the greatest pitchers in the game this year, Clayton in his home ballpark. All-Star games usually start off slow. Ride the NRFI wave.
- Parlay Papi:
Clayton Kershaw MVP (+3100) 2u
I put 2 units on Kershaw to win MVP since it’s his last All-Star game and he’s a Dodger so if he pitches two innings and the NL wins, he’s definitely got a good shot at the sentimental votes like we saw people routing for old man Puljols last night.
